What would the simplified version and restriction be of x^2-36 /x+6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got x-6 but i don't know how to get the restriction? Please help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x can't eqaul -6 or the function would be undefined if x= -6 then you would have x^2 - 36/0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x^{2}-36 = (x+6)(x-6)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the restriction would be -6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and divide (x+6) = result :: x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The restriction would be -6 right?
