The quadratic 2x2 + 6x + 3 has what type of roots?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well yes. There are 2 real roots but they are not positive.

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

Check the discriminant: b^2 - 4ac a = 2, b = 6, c = 3 discriminant > 0, you have two real roots discriminant = 0, you have one real root discriminant < 0, you have two complex roots

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

or, sometimes, I think the "one real root" is also called a "double root"
