Biology 8 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following structures or systems is correctly paired with its function? Central nervous system - processes information and controls responses Cerebellum - portion of the brain that controls body movement Neurons - brain cells that control thoughts, calculations, and memory Peripheral nervous system - releases hormones and controls emotions

OpenStudy (blues):

Which do you think it is? It helps me help you understand the question (and the answer) if you tell me what part of it specifically is not clear. ;D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm hehe that is why i put it on here cuz i dont know it i know its not the second one but thats about as fare as i got

OpenStudy (blues):

The point is, OpenStudy is a tutoring or teaching service. People study here because they are interested in learning. I agree with you: the second one is definitely out. Additionally, there are plenty of neurons which are located in other parts of the body as well as in the brain so the third option is out. And the peripheral nervous system certainly does not release horomes or have anything to do with controlling emotions (although emotions do control it). By contrast the central nervous system (CNS) definitely does process info and control responses... Clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its the first one

OpenStudy (blues):

I think it is the first one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was right thanks for the lecture lmao

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the reason i dont want to learn his stuff is because im never going to need it in life

OpenStudy (blues):

Most people do need to know a little about biology at some point. The biology of our own bodies can be very pertinent sometimes...
