Could somebody help me out with these? 10-2(3x-4)<11 (for x) 7+2c-16 3(8) (for p)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well expands and collect like terms 10 - 6x + 8 < 11 -6x +18<11 -6x < -7 x > 7/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10-2(3x-4)<11 -2(3x-4) < 11 - 10 2(3x-4) > -1 6x - 8 > -1 6x > -1 + 8 ->x > 7/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7+2c-16 <= -9 2c <= - 9 + 9 -> c < 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c <= 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15p+3(p-1)>3(8) 15p + 3p -3 > 24 18p > 24 + 3 ->p > 27/ 18 = 3/2

Thanks so much for the reply, but I have a quick question about the first one. I am suppost to graph these, and I'm not given 7/6 on the number line. It goes from -7 to 5...not exactly sure how to graph that since 7/6 is like a decimal right? ^^;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7/6 = 1 + 1/6 Take 1 unit, add 1/6 of it ( little bit)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I think I got it. Thank you. c:
