For what values of x is the area of the rectangle greater than the perimeter? (( I don't have a picture, but the shortest sides are both 7, while the longer sides are x+2 ))

7(x+2)>2(9+x) 7x+14>18+2x 5x>4 x>4/5

A = 7(x +2) P = 2 [ 7 + (x + 2) ] A > P 7x + 14 > 2x + 18 7x - 2x > 18 - 14 -> 5x > 4 => x > 4/ 5
