is this polynomial written in descending order: 15x-8x^2+3

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

I wouldn't think so since the \(x^2\) term is second while the \(x\) term is first. Descending order would be \[-8x^2 +15x+3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Order by degree of exponent of x: -8x^2 + 15x + 3
