Can anyone please help me create a cladogram using a blue jay, robin, cardinal, finch, and a pelican?

a cladogram can also be based on many different types of traits, behavioral, morphological, etc.. i think yours would be either morphological or a DNA sequence like 'aseshs' said before.

first you need to identify the outgroup, whichever one has the fewest common traits, and that lead rise to the next group. so pick traits that you would like to include, make it around 4-6 not too many, unless otherwise specified. Then do a branching method which starts with the outgroup first then 'builds' on that group. :) hope this helped a little
