The difference of 21 and the product of 5 and a number is less than 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't it 21-5x-7?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The product of 5 and a number is 5x So 21-5x<7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get it . The less than part should've been <

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm, we're talking about a difference here, so it could be either more or less than 21. Therefor you should use absolute value: |21-5x|<7
