OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

How can i find the area of a circle? (Simplest answers please.)

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

|dw:1330020822369:dw|

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

pr^2

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

So all i have to do is multiply 8 by 3.14?

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

Then multiply by 2?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

\[\pi\times r^2\] \[\pi\times 8^2\]

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

if r =8 so then area will be 64pi

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

How you you get that??? Sorry guys... i'm a failure when it comes to learning

OpenStudy (ash2326):

\[Area=\pi\times r^2\] r= 8 units we get \[Area=\pi \times 8^2\] We get \[ Area=\pi \times 64\] pi=3.14 \[Area= 3.14 \times 64\]

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

what is \[\pi\]? is that Pi?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

yeah raging

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

TY! I get it now!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A = pi * r^2 = 3.14 * 8 * 8 = 201
