Determine whether the given coordinates are the vertices of a triangle x(0,-8), Y(16,-21), Z(28,-15) I read online that you find the slope of each point, and if they equal each other, they are not triangles. Is it possible to use the distance formula for this and use the triangle inequality theorem?

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

I suppose that the first method would technically work. I've never heard of it, but it seems to have truth value to it (I cannot think of a counterexample). It would be possible to use distance formula / triangle inequality theorem as well, I believe.

Thanks :) I used the distance formula
