I am writing my first graduate (MLS) essay on different pieces of literature. If I quote anything, do I cite the author and the book? Even if it was what we were assigned to read in class. Ex. "Where is God?" (Wiesel 276)?

if your teacher or instructor want you tell of cores, and he/she will tell you who or what to cite... if she doesn't specify just do both she cant count you off for trying.
