The length of segment PO is 6 inches. The medians of a triangle intersect in a point (called the centroid) that divides each median into a 2 to 1 ratio. So, PO/PN = 2/1; Let PO = 2x and ON = x. Then, PO + ON = 9 2x + x = 9 3x = 9 x = 3 ON = 3 and PO is 6.
