Multiply -x – 2 by -4x2 + 3x + 3

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

4x^3 - 3x^2 - 3x + 8x^2 -6x - 6 = 5x^2 + 4x^3 -9x - 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you please provide the steps so I can follow it to understand it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay: so this is what you want to do (-x -2)( -4x2 + 3x + 3) = 4x^3 -3x^2 -3x - ( 8x^2 -6x - 6) Remember to take the negative of a negative! ------------------- 4x^3 -11x^2 -3x - 6

Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you
