what happen to precipitation that fall in cold places?

OpenStudy (rogue):

Can you be more specific? Are you asking what type of precipitation falls in cold places? Or what happens to the rain/snow/hail,etc.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im asking the type of precipitation that falls in cold places.

OpenStudy (rogue):

Rain, sleet , Snow, Diamond dust (only in really cold places at -40 deg. Celsius)

OpenStudy (rogue):

Hail doesn't really count for cold places. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CaDYs-Du6I

OpenStudy (rogue):

Does that answer the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about a glacier

OpenStudy (rogue):

A glacier is the buildup of too much precipitation when the amount of snow exceeds its capacity to melt/evaporate fast enough.
