Does he run? or Does he ran? if i am asking sumthing which is happened in past, the verb 'run' need to be in past or present form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its 'Does he run?' I think it makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is definitely "Does He Run?".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it should be "did".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah my bad... :|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so "did he ran?" for asking if he did ran in past?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did he run.......... is correct.............

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because with did we do not use the third form of the verb. so ran cant be used.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Standard statements -- Today, he runs. Yesterday, he ran. Emphatic statements -- Today, he does run. Yesterday, he did run. Questions -- Does he run today? Did he run yesterday? (I've put in the "today" and "yesterday" only to pin down the time.) As has already been noted, "does he ran" or "did he ran" are not correct.
