Adolf Hitler - through his rhetoric and his speeches, he created scapegoats out of the Jews for Germany's ills

Reinhard Heydrich - was the executor of the Final Solution; one of the key architects of the Holocaust who carried it out

Adolf Eichmann - the "architect" of the Final Solution; Eichmann could be considered the administrative head who made murder a matter of logistics.

Heinrich Himmler - the head of the Schutzstaffel, or the SS; these were the elites who started out as Hitler's personal guard. The SS were also responsible for many of the worst atrocities of the war and controlled the concentration camps.

Auschwitz - the largest concentration camp; built in Poland
