If i read online can this help improve my english?
Books or newspapers might be better.
Well, you can read the news online :P
PRINTED works might be better than online.
Reading online will improve your English if you read published stuff, but forums & chat groups will not as they're filled kids with bad grammar & vocab.
We all have our preferances Sniffles. I was just saying that it is possible to improve one's English by reading online, I didn't say that it was better. But I do agree with you, print ftw :)
Almost any reading can help improve your English.
I think oral practice helped me more than reading did. Reading, of course, played a significant part in my writing. It would still be best if you would be able to practice through speech if what you're trying to develop is a good grasp of the English language orally. As for writing, reading is still the best. I think one should be open-minded with reading materials. I started out with books, gradually transferring to periodicals, and finally to the Internet. I find it interesting to read blogs from time to time, and since it's an informal way of expressing oneself, I think you may also gain practice by identifying grammatical errors and spelling errors in these blogs. Lastly, I think you should stick to reading material that would interest you, and, at the same time, help you. It would be best if you could request for some recommendations from your English teacher or friends who enjoy reading. Your local English library may also help. Hope this helps! :)
