if i want to include a quote into my sentence but i am adding/cutting one word to make it more clear do i use an elipses and a bracket? example: Sammy realizes “how hard the world was going to be to [him] hereafter” (136). the original quote is "i felt how hard the world was going to be to me hereafter" i deleted the me and added the him would i need an elipses when deleting me?
