Find the derivative of y = log18(5t + 2t)

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

log ( 18(5t + 2t) )? or base 18?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log18 then (5t+2^t) my bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you get what it is now lol

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

my first step would be use change-of-base to get a natural log / base e \[ log_{a}(x) = \frac{ln(x)}{ln(a)} \] y = ln (5t+2^t) / ln (18) Derivative of ln(x) is 1/x, the derivative of 2^t is ln(2) 2*t should just be chain rule from there
