If a scale factor of four is used, the points in the image will be eight times as far from the origin as the pre-image points?

OpenStudy (rogue):

False, it'll be 4 times as far I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can I ask another question here o: ?

OpenStudy (rogue):

Sure =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An image has point W'(7, -3), and the pre-image has point W(21, -9). This is an enlargement?

OpenStudy (rogue):

Do you see any ratios between 21 and 7 or -9 and -3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idk o.o

OpenStudy (rogue):

x: 21 ---> 7, x ---> x/3 y: -9 ---> -3, y ---> y/3 (x, y) ---> (x/3, y/3) It shrunk by ratio of 3, so it is not an enlargement.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh ok I see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank youu =D

You really need to stop asking every single math question for your online school. This will lead to failing to go to college and also is considered cheating.
