What is 1 / infinity? [Please simply don't say it is equal to zero] Explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it si defined u cannot ask for proof certain things like1/0 make whole concepts of maths invalid so those shud be accepted they have determined that as you approach x====infinity in this equation, y=1/x y reaches the value 0(does not become 0 only reaches it) this comes under the concept of limits when x or y 'tends' or approaches a quantity but does not become it
