determine whether ech statement is always smethimes or never true. 1.the lines with different slopes are perpendicular. 2.the slopes of vertical lines and horizontal lines are negative recipicals. 3.a vertical line is perpendicular to the x-axis

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

1.) Sometimes -- We can have lines with different slopes that are NOT perpendicular. e.g. y = 2x + 3 and y = 3x + 6 are not perpendicular. 2.) Never -- although technically we can define vertical/horizontal lines as 'perpendicular', we are unable to define the opposite reciprocal of an undefined slope. (This one I am not 100% on) 3.) Always -- a line that is perpendicular to the x-axis extends vertically from it. This is true for all lines defined as vertical; x =
