(thesis) Nearly every society, there will always be those that will try and find anyone to blame for anything, and the Jews became merely scapegoats of the central power holders.

A. Thesis
B. Middle Ages – Emperors, kings and Judean supporters believed Jewish people killed Christ and therefore wanted their people to convert to Christianity.
C. First Global Age – Influential people were greed-driven for wealth and power.
D. Capitalism and Pre-modern age – Many superiors turned to pogroms, manipulations and propaganda to stay in control and remove the weaklings.

II. Middle Age

A. Powerful men in the Roman Empire established Christianity as the state religion, and in the struggle to legitimate itself as a new religion, Christianity turned against the mother religion from which it had sprung, Judaism.
1. Emperor Constantine the Great (306-337) – limited the rights of Jews
2. Reccared (586-601) – Pursue an active anti-Jewish policy
3. Rabbi Gershom – Light of the Diaspora (960-1028) – Judaism viewed as the satanic element in history

III. First Global Age

B. Many influential people were greed-driven for wealth and power and believed that in order to unify a strong nation; all citizens must be baptized as Christians. However, many converted because they were motivated by the characterization of the Jews as the devil.
1. Tomas de Torquemada (1420-98) – forced the conversos and Moriscos to confess and imposed increasingly penurious methods.
2. Spanish Inquisition (March 1492) – Ferdinand V and Isabella I of Spain issued the Alhambra Decree also known as the Edict of Expulsion.
3. Martin Luther (1483-1556): After he failed to convince the Jewish people to adopt Christianity, he began preaching that the Jews were set in evil, anti-Christian ways, and needed to be expelled from German politics.

IV. Capitalism and Pre-Modern Age

C. Jewish population and the economy expanded though the Jewish social structure changed that many superiors turned to modern pogroms, and propaganda to stay in control and remove the weaklings – Jews.
1. Ascension of Tsar Alexander II (1855-81): beginning of industrialization, and the beginning of pogroms.
2. Social Darwinism – modern anti-Semitism factor, which Herbert Spencer propounded the theory of constant struggle between humans, in which the strongest would win.
3. Germany defeat in WWI – Germany was humiliated by the Versailles Treaty that Germany’s general—Erick Ludenorff accused Jews for being disloyal during the war, and used propaganda to cover the truth that it was him to made Germany lose WWI.
4. The Final Solution: Hitler informed his general that the coming struggle against the Soviets would be an ideological war in which no mery would or should be granted to the enemy. Hitler issued the Commissar directive—execution of all Communist Soviet officials, and later propaganda used to kill all Jews using concentration and death camps.

You might also want to include something about how Germany's economy was in a huge depression because of war debts from WWI. Because of that, Hitler was able to blame most of it on the Jewish population because they were known to be big time bankers and capitalists. It's because of this that the Nazi's were able to advance their anti-semetic platform against the jews
