1.What two factors cause the cycle of the seasons? 2.How do rotation and revolution differ? 3.Are changes in the distance between Earth and the sun important in causing the cycle of the seasons? Explain. 4.Why does the moon change its phases as the month progresses? 5.Describe three uses of satellites and space stations.

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Seasons are caused by rotation and revolution. Rotation is the movement of Earth on its axis while Revolution is the movement of the planet around the sun or its orbital path. The orbit is an oval, not a perfect circle. When we are at two distinct and opposite ends of the orbit, we are having winter and vice versa for summer.
