i have 2 identical bars one is iron other is magnet i can use only by hand....how can i find which one is magnet?
connect both the bars with an emf with the help of wires, one by one and then bring an iron nail closer to both the connected bars one by one, in one of cases the iron nail will be attracted or repelled, n that bar will be the magnet.
I CAN ONLY USE MY HAND
There are south pole and north pole in a magnet. In my opinion, the magnet attacts the iron bar when magnet touches the middle of the iron. But the iron cannot attracts the magnet's the middle(the borderline of N and S).
u can also put it this way.....when i bring the magnet near iron the iron moves and sticks to it while when i bring iron to magnet, my hand having magnet is pulled towards the magnet that was a very good idea jinjin i was asked this question in an interview
hmm. maybe Not. The force between the magnet and the iron bar is the same force with opposite direction. That is Newton's Second Law. When you make the magnet bar in contact with the iron bar like 'T' shape. If the lower bar of the 'T' is magnet and the upper bar is iron, then magnet will attract the iron bar. But, When Iron touches the middle of the magnet in 'T' shape, the iron hardly attacts the magnet.
