Can any one give a natural example of the resolution of vectors in two dimentions ?

|dw:1330267099642:dw| clock hand? anything in 2-d(bounded by 2 axes)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is good but it was'nt natural good try,,let me say,, the example of the resolution of vectors is the process of flying of bird,,,when it stretches its wings and moves them, a momentum is created and it starts flying but in the direction of its beak and through that direction the force of the two wings of a bird is resolved

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but that is 3-d as u have 3 co-ordinate axes in real world when a single wing in considered in a single plane however u can say that the wing alone is in 2-d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah u r right it is in linear direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Resolution in Dimensions is nothing but taking components of a vector in a particular direction to look at its effect in that direction. Therefore I dont think that anything is naturally distributed like that. It s simple how we choose to distribute the contributing factors in different directions.
