How can you simplify 218^(1/3) divided by 218^(-2/3)? I'm so lost.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when base are the same which is 218 then the power of both of them can be simplified which for this case divide means power will be subtracted means 1/3-(-2/3) gives one third plus two third gives 3/3 which is one and 218 to the power of one gives 218..

[218^(1/3)]/218^(1/3-1) [218^(1/3)][218^(-1/3+1)] 218^(+1) 218
