An image point has coordinates B'(7, -4). Find the coordinates of its Pre-image if the translation used was (x + 4, y + 5).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

& please explain why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pre image B(x, y) = ( 3, -9) Since B' (x +4, y+5) = (7, -4)

I understand it kind of thank you :]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it clear to you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its clear, my understanding of it is a bit fuzzy but after looking at it a little more i think i'll get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You match x + 4 = 7 --> x = 7- 4 = 3 y + 5 = -4 --> y = -4 -5 = -9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh ok I get it ! Thanks
