You should talk to your IT department about getting access to the site. In most cases there are good reasons for specific sites being blocked - afterall, if someone though some piece of malware gets access to your computer, they may get access to the entire corporate network. Asking can't hurt, and if you legitimately need access to the site, there shouldn't be a problem with them giving it to you.
I advise against lightly deciding to circumvent your companies' security policies. Remember, if something goes wrong, it's your neck! :)

I agree with opie. In addition, if the admin did his job right you will find it very difficult to find a usable proxy.

Lets learn to live with restrictions, I understand its annoying but its there for some reasons clearly stated above.
