Please help! Given x^2-4/x^2+5x * x^2-25/x^2-3x-10, perform the indicated operation and simplify the result. The denominator of the second step is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-2)/x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x(x + 5)2(x - 2) x(x + 5)(x - 5)(x - 2) x(x + 5)(x - 5)(x + 2) (x + 1)(x + 5)(x - 5)(x + 2) These are the options :/ I'm just not sure how to figure it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what... those make no sense.. given what you gave me... the answer should be (x-2)/x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm. O.k. I'll figure it out :) Thanks for your help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait I min.. i'll try to see the question was worded weirdly..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the question doesn't need simplification.. it just wants the denominator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in which case the answer should be: x(x+5)(x-5)(x+2) is that an option?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! Thanks so much! :D

no prob :)
