The pre-image point B(-4, 3) is translated to B'(-1, 1). What was the translation used? (x+ 3,y+ 2) (x- 3,y- 2) (x+ 3,y- 2) (x- 3,y+ 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+3, y-2 ...do you know why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Third one (x+ 3,y- 2) just plug in the pre image point until you get the translated value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just substitute and check.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4+3 =-1, 3-2 =1

I hate problems like these I never understand them x _x Its either im blind for it being too easy or its just plain >< annoying

Thank you guys <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't worry just follow my formula :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks :]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to understand graph the points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pre image B ( x , y) = ( -4, 3) Image B' ( -4 +x , 3 + y ) = ( -1, 1) Match them up: -> -4 +x = -1 => x = -1 + 4 = 3 -> 3 + y = 1 => y = 1 - 3 = -2

Can you follow with the same pattern which I use to solve all your 3 questions so far?

It looks complicated :[
