Directrix (directrix):

When two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, same-side interior angles are supplementary. Therefore, 7x - 19 + 3x + 14 = 180 10x - 5 = 180 x = 37/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so x=8.5?

Directrix (directrix):

Also, vertical angles are congruent. 5y -2 = 7x - 19 5y - 2 = 7(37/2) - 19 y = 45/2

Directrix (directrix):

Yes on decimal for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x=8.5 and y=22.5?

Directrix (directrix):

Yes.

awsome! thanks and can u do me a favor and tell me if i got this one right... for n i got 10 http://hotmath.com/help/bookindexes/cpmg06new/index.html#pid=cpmg06new_7_1-3_Homework_7-33a_348

Directrix (directrix):

Okay, just a minute.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay:)

Directrix (directrix):

Base angles of isosceles triangles are congruent. 6x - 3 = x+17 x = 4

Directrix (directrix):

Check my work.

Directrix (directrix):

When two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, same-side interior angles are supplementary. 5w + 36 + 3w = 180 w = 18

ok thanks and im also stuck on this one http://hotmath.com/help/bookindexes/cpmg06new/index.html#pid=cpmg06new_7_1-3_Homework_7-33d_348
