Or, subtract the "1st point" from the "2nd point".
(2,4) (-1,3) and (2,-3) -2-4 -2-4 -2-4 ----------------- 0,0 -3,1 0,-7 sqrt(10) 7 (2,4) (-1,3) and (2,-3) 1-3 1-3 1-3 -------------------- 3,1 0,0 3,0 sqrt(10) 3 7+3+sqrt(10) = 10+sqrt(10)
you dont need slope; you need distance
