Been Stuck On this one for hours!! Help? a soccer ball is kicked hard from ground level straight up into the air, 6.25 seconds later the ball hits the ground. Use the fact that gravity is -32 feet per second^2. a) What is velocity equation? b) How fast in mph is the ball traveling after 2 seconds? 4 seconds? c) When does the ball reach its maximum height?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

velocity = initialvelocity + acceleration*time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

v = v_0 + at since v = 0 at the top 0 = v_0 + -32(3.125) v_0 = 32(3.125) so initial velocity = 100 ft/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after 2 seconds would be 100 + -32(2) converted to mph after 4 seconds would be 100 + -32(4) converted to mph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ball reaches it's maximum height at t = 3.125 s

That's basically what i received as well. Thanks!
