velocity = initialvelocity + acceleration*time

since v = 0 at the top

0 = v_0 + -32(3.125)
v_0 = 32(3.125)

so initial velocity = 100 ft/s

after 2 seconds would be 100 + -32(2) converted to mph
after 4 seconds would be 100 + -32(4) converted to mph
