what is firmware.? what is the toolbox for testing software.??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

firmware is a term that refers to the people in a computer system. I dont know exactly which toolbox you are referring to but there is such a thing as blackbox testing. this is for testing threats etc.,

Firmware is something "between hardware and software": It's the software that gets delivered as part of e. g. embedded devices. This software is stored in a non-volatile area (stays when the device is turned off). Usually only the manufacturer is meant to change the firmware. BIOS on a PC is an example of firmware, and so is the software on a PS3 that is separate from the games.
