An airplane is traveling 835km/h in a direction 41.5 west of north. Find the components of the velocity vector in the northerly and westernly directions. How far north and how far west has the plane traveled after 2.50h

I already have the north and west components: 625.4km/h and 553 km/h for north and west respectivly, I'm just unsure on how to go about getting the distance..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make a displacement vector d=vt , d=(835km/hr)(2.5hr)=2087.5 km @ 41.5 degs. then do the same thing you did with the velocity components.

oh okay thanks
