Give an example (name) of a specific human cell that leaves the cell cycle only temporarily and explain why you think it leaves the cell cycle and then returns?

OpenStudy (istim):

Hmm. Does the cells that undergo meiosis count?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not sure, give me anything =)

OpenStudy (agreene):

ovum suspend the cell cycle after meiosis 1, they don't enter meiosis 2 and produce an offspring unless fertilized by a sperm. you could argue that neurons also suspend cell cycle after one rotation so they can chill in G0 and do their neuron thing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Liver cells retain the ability for mitosis which is only triggered when the liver is damaged.
