how do you find the Exterior Angle Measures of an X-sided polygon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(n-1)180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sum of the measures of all the exterior angle of a polygon is 360 degrees[if you take one angle at each vertex].if the polygon has n sides, then (n-2)x180.

@DaisyRose isn't that for Interior Angles?

Directrix (directrix):

how do you find the Exterior Angle Measures of an X-sided polygon? To find the individual exterior angles, one per vertex, you have to know that the x-sided polygon is regular. Otherwise, the 360/x calculation does not hold.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well,if you add the measures of all the exterior angles of a polygon, the sum is equal.

Directrix (directrix):

True but the angles are not necessarily congruent unless the polygon is regular.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes u r right squirrel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, the degree measures of all the exterior angles of a polygon is 360 degrees@squirrel.
