5x^-2y^10 over 2x^-1(-3x^-3y^-1)^-2 please explain

OpenStudy (earthcitizen):

with all the powers symbols it's not so cleear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{5x^{-2}y^{10}}{2x^{-1}(-3x^{-3}y^{-1})^{-2}}\] ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the problem is simplfied to \[(5x^{-2} y^10)/(-6x^5y^{-1})\] now use the index law for division... subtract the powers -5/6 x^-7y^2 so the final answer is \[(-5y^2)/(6x^7)\]
