list the factors in each expression (3 - a)(b + c)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3b +3c -ab -ac

This is the expansion... I don't know if they're referring to this?

Hmm this is a vague question? what factors are u finding, i am assuming a b c are all constants and not variables. You can only find factors of variables, like x,y,z, etc... If your question is as follows: (3 - a)(b + c)= y and told to find factors of y, the answer would be: The factors are (3-a) and (b+c)

Hope you get what i am trying to say and get the concept right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one factor is 3 - a the other is b + c

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im sure that there are other factors involved; but the math ones have already been stated :)
