how do I solve this? Find x to the nearest tenth. Consult the table above to find the cosine number. picture posted below!

I assuming they are referring to the table of trignometric functions if so look up the cosine of 70 degrees. According to my calculator the cosine of 70 degrees is: 0.3420 The cosine is also equal to adjacent side divided by the hypotenuse. Cos 70=x/12.4 .3420 = x/12.4 x=(.3420)(12.4)=4.2 (nearest tenth) units were not specified.
