Why these don't apply
absorb energy during assimilation: Food is metabolized through catabolic processes (broken down to smaller component) during this process energy is released and used for diffrent other processes in our body. Anything that is broken down in a catabolic process releases energy there it can't be correct that it asborbs energy.

Photosynthesis is a energy required process which converts carbondioxide & water into organic compounds + oxygen (which is the waste product for plants). This is an anabolic process.
