molly had 34 cookies to share with her n(meaning variable) friends, by the end of the day they had 24. how to write that as a equation without writing it as 34-24=n??

You can just rearrange the equation.. 34-24 = n can be rearrange to n+ 24 = 34, and there are other possible equations too
