How do u find the ration between 2 triangles ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If two triangles are similar, then the ratio of their areas is equal to the square of the ratio of any two corresponding sides. So, if we have two triangles, say triangle ABC similar to triangle DEF, with side a corresponding to side d; side b corresponding to side e; and side c corresponding to side f; then the ratio of the area of triangle ABC to area of triangle DEC = (a/d)^2 or (b/e)^2 or (c/f)^2.

Divide corresponding sides!

OpenStudy (anikate):

What exactly is corresponding ? Could u plz explain with drawings I can wait for hours if u want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Suppose triangles ABC similar with A'B'C', then corresponding sides are: AB/ A'B AC/ A'C' BC/ B'C'
