Umm not free afaik, there are but they would be under piracy. So it would be better to use google books.

There are, but most sites only offer limited number of books and some are free trials

If you have a smart phone there's a couple of apps that come with thousands of free older books, ranging from the The Republic to Sherlock Holmes to HP Lovecraft.

I know this isn't a "website" but you still may find it helpful.

Free e-books, as in free computer science e-books? There is the Free Information Society's e-books section: go to http://www.freeinfosociety.com/ – I've found many good CS and Math books.
