Correct me if i'm wronnng. :o Casey wants to wrap a gift that measures 8 inches by 6 inches by 10 inches. What is the surface area? A = 2(6 x 8 + 6 x 10 + 8 x 10) in^2 = 2(48 + 60 + 80) in^2 = 2 * 188 in^2 = 376 in^2

Is the gift in the shape of a rectangular solid?
Doesn't say.
Sometimes, details about a problem set are given at the beginning of a block of similar problems. If the shape of the item is not known, then why multiply length, width, and height?
Thats how I find my surface area. Am I wrong?
