Can someone show me how to do this thank you. The measure of one side of a square is 3x^2-4 units. which of the following represents the perimeter?

Directrix (directrix):

A square is equilateral and has four sides So, I'd say 4(3x^2-4 units). No options are shown.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thank u now I understand it better

Directrix (directrix):

So, which option did you select and what are the contents of that option? Just wondering.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I just checked and their are different from the answer here ill show u

Directrix (directrix):

OK

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9x^2-16,12x^2-16, 6x^2-8, 3x^2-16 these were my options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could there be another way to figure it out do u think sorry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for trying to help me understand this

Directrix (directrix):

Perimeter of a square = 4 (3x^2-4) = 12 x^2 - 16. Let me see if there is an equivalent answer among the options.

Directrix (directrix):

I see it. You just needed to use the distributive property to distribute the 4. Answer: 12x^2-16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you helped me thank you very much for showing me how to do it thank you
