the launching of satellites should be from a place near equator , why ?

because the closer a mass is to the equator, the more angular velocity is has, which means we will need to do less work placing an satellite in a circular orbit.

it can be seen like this also....angular velocity of earth is considered constant
so as w(omega)*r=v
as r is more near equator,more linear velocity and hence less launing kinetic energy required(1/2*mv^2)
