you can paddle your canoe seven miles per hour any plaicd lake. the stream flows at 3 mph. the moment you start to paddle upstream a fisherman looses one of his bobbers in the water fourteen miles of you.How many hours does it take for you and the bobber to meet ?

OpenStudy (ragingsquirrel):

Assuming the stream water flows in the direction you're going, you travel 10 MPH and the bobber is 14 miles away. 1 hour: 60 minutes. 60 divided by 10 times 4 is 24, so if i'm right this will take you 1 hour and 24 minutes.
