6. Two students A and B are sitting on similar desk chairs. The mass of A is 95kg and that of B is 77kg. Student A bends his legs and sets his feet against B’s knees and suddenly straightens his legs, causing both chairs start moving. While the legs are straightening, (a)No force at all will be exerted on either student by each other. (b) A force is exerted on B by student A but no force is exerted on A by student B. (c)A force is exerted on B by A and also on A by B but the former force is larger than the latter one. (d)A force is exerted on B by Aandalso on A by B but the latte.Give reason

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

Your question got cut off at the end. However, both students must experience the same magnitude of force (although it's in opposite directions).

the part that was cut of is give reason to ur answer. so please tell me which of the multiple choice is the answe and why.

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

"(d)A force is exerted on B by Aandalso on A by B but the latte." is cut off and I have no idea what else d says. A, b and c are definitely incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(d) A force is exerted on B by A and also on A by B but the latter force is larger. (e) A force is exerted on B by A and an equal-in-magnitude force is exerted on A by B.

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

e is correct. Newton's Third Law: The mutual forces of action and reaction between two bodies are equal, opposite and collinear. That means if I push on a something, say a wall, the wall MUST push back on me with the same amount of force.
